I also figured that version being optimized would load faster and have characters moving quicker than backwards compat version. Quite frustrated that there are 2 versions and that characters do not transfer into the 'enhanced' slayer edition.
the new QUICK RESUME feature does work on this version and works very well I did not notice graphical improvement on a 1080p tv (need to test on my 4k tv yet) characters move SLOWER than on the version above no characters transferred into this version from xbox one game slightly different loading screen, took longer to load game Xbox series x version running in native mode on series x: characters from previous game transferred fine
characters move very smooth, fighting is faster and more fun game runs great load times are much improved versus the one x Xbox one version running in backwards compat mode on series x: This version takes longer to load to the title screen and my characters from the existing game did NOT transfer over. This is a different version of the game as the load screens before the title screen are different. I then bought the other edition and installed it on my series x. It is NOT optimized for the series x/s consoles. When running this version my characters did transfer over as really it's just DLC for the existing game. I already had the Magnus edition on xbox one so all this gave me was the witch hunter DLC. There are 2 versions of the slayer edition in the xbox store with the SAME name:Īfter hearing reports that existing characters from the xbox one version transfer to the Slayer Edition I bought the top version (not knowing it was xbox one only). I got burned hard last night getting the wrong version of the slayer edition for xbox series x.
